Now that Halloween is done and dusted I can freely talk about Christmas without being lampooned - hooray! 🎄

The shops are already heaving with glitter and sequins, the decs are up in all the shop windows and Santa is coming to town!

Soon the invites are going to be coming in for soirees with the neighbours, the office Christmas party (this year is POST Covid properly), Christmas lunches and more. Sooo, what are you gonna wear?

If you haven’t got time to even think about it, don’t worry because I’ve got you covered. I’m always working with my clients in the shops so I have my beady eye across all the party wear.

This is my edit of my favourite outfits and where to find these items in the shops now.

Winter whites - Style Pantry

  1. Key item #1 - Sequin trousers.

Choose your favourite colour, (silver, gold or black are my favourites) and either wear dressed up with a blazer like Style Pantry above or more casually with a knit like Glitter & Gingham. They look relaxed & cool but are still super glam which is just how I like it at Christmas.

Love this look by Shelby of Glitter & Gingham blog.

Mint Velvet sequin trousers - these come in black and silver too! Your one-stop sequin shop.

2. Key Item #2 is a glam dress

As I always say, if in doubt wear a dress. One piece and you are done. you can of course rent a dress for a one off party - it’s a hugely growing market. I recommend By Rotation or Hurr.

Or you can treat yourself to a dress from my current favourites ‘Queens of Archive’ - 70’s inspired dresses, it’s what all the cool crowd are wearing.

This is gorgeous! QoA Emeretta dress.

3. Piece #3 has to be a pair of metallic or sparkly boots

I got a silver glitter pair around 6 years ago from Primark that are good copies of Isabel Marant and I get them out every Christmas without fail. These are a huge trend for Christmas 2022.

I honestly didn’t realise I needed a pair of gold slouchy boots until this moment! Find a cheaper version here.

If silver is more your thing Mint Velvet have a lovely pair this season. Or, opt for a sparkly pair instead to go fully Christmas. All these boots would look great with a simple black dress too. I’ve noticed both Claudia and Tess wearing sparkly boots on this season of Strictly.

I think sparkly or gold boots would make a very stylish outfit over the festive season. I love how Claudia wears hers with black leggings and a long top.

3. Piece # 4 - a velvet blazer.

These are perfect if you like a low-key smart look. Wear one with tailored black trousers, a simple shirt and classic stilettos for grown-up glamour. Perfect for the office Christmas party. Reiss have an absolutely stunning red velvet jacket - in fact I love the whole suit - classy!

You could even throw on a velvet blazer with jeans if you want a low key casual look that still looks like you’ve made an effort. I like this khaki colour by Me&Em, it’s a bit different.

So there you have it, my first Christmas edit of 2022, I hope it inspired your outfits for this party season. It still feels early but once Halloween is done, Christmas comes along pretty fast! Happy partying.🎄
