What to wear in a smart casual office
Not sure what to wear to work? If one of the biggest headaches of your day is working out what to wear in the morning then take some inspiration from these ladies and find out how you can replicate the look for yourself.
I bet you already have some of these items in your wardrobe already but perhaps haven’t thought about these combinations.
Look 1
A wide-legged black trouser suit paired with a Bretton stripe jersey top and clean white trainers. This look definitely has gravitas but also cool-girl appeal.

Look 2.
I had to include this instagram influencer as I’m a big fan. She’s from Leigh-on-Sea in Essex close to where I grew up but that is secondary to the fact she nails work outfits that would also be suitable for a more corporate/formal environment. She used to work in insurance in The City but gave it up when her insta account took off and I can see why. You can follow her here for great work outfit inspo.
I love the black leather with bare legs and nude shoes in this outfit - obviously, it’s too cold for that right now (January) but leather skirts also look good in winter with thin cashmere knits, tights and suede ankle boots too. A super versatile addition to the wardrobe.

Look 3
I’m a bit of a sucker for a tweed jacket but always paired with something edgy like a pair of jeans and slip-on kitten heels. You can wear tights until it warms up then wear this look through Spring too!

There are cheaper tweed options available on the Highstreet and I recommend looking at Zara. I found this one on clearance sale at Very.co.uk.
A few outfits to get your work wardrobe updated for 2020 that will stream nicely into spring too. Cannot WAIT for Spring, I swear January has 1,000 days instead of 31!!!!
