Stylish Loungewear for lockdown and beyond
I’ve been a big fan of the brand HUSH for quite a while now but suddenly, as we are in a lockdown situation at the moment their clothes seem even more perfect. They just absolutely nail relaxed, comfortable style and manage to give their clothes a bit of edge too which makes it all the more desirable to me.
When life returns to normal these are still the clothes I’ll want to wear. I love the bright colours they use, the camo and leopard prints and the loose flowing dresses. HUSH started as a catalogue only brand, entering the same space as Boden but now are the best seller in John Lewis although they don’t have other bricks and mortar shops. That’s probably a massive relief right now though in the middle of the Coronavirus pandemic. I’m writing this in April 2020 and in the UK we are entering week 3 of lockdown so no shops are currently open and business, including shopping is being conducted online.
When I work with my clients on their wardrobe I always get a brief to get to the bottom of how they really want to dress by asking a few specific questions. Almost always, the answer is they want to be comfortable but still look pulled together and not like they’ve tried too hard. HUSH ticks all these boxes.
Dresses
They create brilliantly relaxed dresses in bright colours, often with pockets which is a big plus. I really like the pale blue and red colour combination on this pretty scattered rose dress:
2. Knits.
They always use great colours, often with star prints which is their signature print.
Embroidered cotton knit jumper
3. Joggers.
They do these every season in different prints. I’ve just bought the camo print version but really love these leopard print too.
4. Jumpsuits.
Now a wardrobe staple, these look great on lots of body shapes. A pain to go to the toilet in but worth it to look good and feel this comfy.
A few picks from my current favourite brand and outfits that just seem so on point right now.
Just a reminder that my wardrobe edit service is currently online via Zoom adn much cheaper than my usual charges. This is a temporary measure while to country remains on lockdown. The input from me is the same, although I can’t be with you physically clearing the wardrobe, I am giving the same expert advice on what to keep and what to get rid of. It’s a really great time to declutter at the moment and get ready to hit the ground running once things return to normal. If you would love to revamp your wardrobe this service is currently £200 instead of £650 to reflect the current situation. Get in touch to book your slot.
