Summer Dress Edit

It’s a respectable 19 degrees here in London, as good as it gets so it must be time to roll out the Summer dresses.

I spent Wednesday evening this week at the Summer Launch for one of my favourite dress brand New Day Originals. This is a tiny, independent label, plus the dresses are made from sustainable cotton up to a size 18. If you are a bigger size that that, the owner Fin will make you a dress! It’s a brand with heart and soul so I’m featuring it heavily today.

Also really loving the latest Boden Ibiza collection, some gems in there. Finally &Other Stories are getting a mention for their gorgeous linen wrap dresses. Finally my head was turned by the off-shoulder column dress from Anthropologie for a glam BBQ or summer event so I had to include that.

‘Joy’ lined shirt dress. For £96 this is incredible value. You could wear this to the office too.

This beauty ‘Honor black blossom’ can be worn on or off shoulder. All dresses made from sustainable, breathable cotton.

I’ve always got a white dress in my wardrobe for summer and love this broderie anglais number. These sleeves are very flattering.

I seem to have a thing for blue dresses this year - similar to the one before but like the puff sleeves - linen dress.

This has such a nostalgic print but yet it feels fresh for now. I’ve ordered it! This is coming to Turkey with me in July.

Finishing on a thing of beauty. This Anthropologie dress also has a bit of a 70’s feel about it for me. Would look great with a big straw hat or no hat and gold statement earrings. Love it.

There are some really gorgeous options around at the moment. We’ve had such a false start to summer I am more than ready to update my style for the new season. I’ve only just turned the heating off and it’s JUNE! Here’s to a long, balmy, sun filled summer. 🥂
