Summer workwear
My Summer workwear choices today are all from one shop - Me&Em. I love the collection they have which is full of modern tailoring, bright colours and pretty blouses and dresses. A perfect mix.
The price point is higher-end high street and there’s a reason for that. The cuts and attention to detail are really fantastic and set this brand apart. The clothes are so wearable but super stylish and definitely office appropriate.
To make sure your wardrobe looks up-to-date but also really smart, it’s a good idea to keep an eye on the tailoring you have. Jackets always complete a look so make sure you have a couple at least; I recommend a plain black or navy tailored jacket and a bright or pastel option to add interest.

Also make sure any trousers you have are not in a dated cut. If you want to be really up-to-date then there’s nothing like a wide-leg pair of trousers to give your style a refresh! Linen trousers are also everywhere this season. You might think that’s obvious because it’s summer but they have been a bit ‘middle aged Church-goer’ for years. No offense to MACG’s reading this but they just haven’t been cool and now they are!
My current favorites at Me&Em
There are so many to choose from but this is my small edit of the items I recommend for Summer for a quick workwear update. These will work in most office environments, even the more formal.
It’s unlikely you are required to wear a whole suit to work so these smart separates will do the trick for a smart/casual work wardrobe.
Love these - great with the strappy sandals but also pointed shoes work with wide leg.
They also come in this Summer colour. Looking good here with trainers and the crips white shirt if your office allows trainers. If not, do strappy Summer sandals.
There are a lot of cropped blouses and shirts around. I think it’s because they are easy to wear with all the wide trousers around. This hot pink blouse works well with the taupe trousers but would also look great with the navy.
Pussy bow blouses are having a moment and Me&Em have a few to choose from.
A white blazer will be super handy for lots of Summer occasions. This one is slightly cropped so will work well with the wide trousers.
Me&Em have a great selection of dresses. Some work for casual and lots work for a smart/casual office.
